Energy Recovery Through Osmosis
The physical principle of osmosis is used here to generate a current: Fresh and salt water are directed along a diaphragm. Due to the difference in salinity, pressure builds up on the salt water side which can be used to generate a current, for example with turbines. The connectors used for this application made of PP, PVDF and PTFE are equipped with electrically conductive particles and have an extremely low surface resistance to prevent any static charges from accumulating. Depending on the material, our products can withstand temperatures from -200°C to +260°C.
